Meet the Attorneys

Michael S. Lehman, Esq.

Michael earned his J.D. Degree from Widener University in 1995 after receiving his B.S. from Cornell University. Michael started his legal career working for a law firm in Philadelphia handling personal injury and criminal cases. He then opened his own firm in Chester County and has worked in a small firm environment for the last 10 years. In November of 2008 Michael moved his office to its present location at 25 South Church Street where he enjoys working with several skilled attorneys. In addition to practicing in Pennsylvania, Michael has handled cases in Florida, Arizona, Delaware, New York & Kentucky. He has worked as co-counsel in medical malpractice cases and also handled several large profile Federal Criminal Cases. Michael enjoys the freedom that a small firm provides and it also allows him to pay close personal attention to each and every client. In 2009, Michael A. Pastino, Esq. joined the firm and Michael S. Lehman, Esq. was thrilled to add a seasoned litigator to his practice.

Michael A. Pastino, Esq.

Michael comes to Lehman Pastino after spending the last 17 years as a trial attorney doing insurance defense work in Philadelphia. He has tried over 200 jury trials to verdict, as well as a similar number of non-jury trials. These cases include automobile, motorcycle, and ATV cases, as well as bicycle and pedestrian cases. Michael has also tried numerous premises liability cases to jury verdict, including slip, trip, and fall cases, dog bite, and sports and recreation actions. Michael has handled hundreds of Common Pleas Court arbitrations as well as Uninsured/Underinsured Motorists arbitrations. He has been selected as a Judge Pro Tem, Settlement Master, and Neutral Arbitrator in both the Court of Common Pleas and in private dispute resolution. Michael feels most comfortable in the courtroom and looks forward to using his trial experience to benefit victims of accidents seeking compensation for their injuries.

David P. Clark, Esq.

David P. Clark, Esquire joined Lehman Pastino as a junior equity partner. Mr. Clark graduated from Temple University in 1988 and then went on to earn his M.B.A from Villanova University and his Juris Doctorate from the Widener University School of Law. Mr. Clark began his career by working for some of the largest brokerage and investment banking firms on Wall Street. In 2000, Mr. Clark left the financial world and moved to Chester County in order to practice law as a prosecutor in the Office of the District Attorney. After five years as an Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Clark started a private law practice focusing almost exclusively on criminal defense.

Mr. Clark's experience defending individuals accused of criminal offenses in both the State and Federal Court system is vast and comprehensive. With over fifty (50) jury trials and dozens of bench trials, he has successfully defended numerous clients charged with serious felony criminal offenses. Mr. Clark is a State death penalty certified attorney and has experience defending individuals charged with capital murder. On a daily basis, Mr. Clark appears both in State and Federal courts defending individuals charged with offenses ranging from murder to summary traffic violations. Mr. Clark has also served as legal counsel on cases that have attracted National attention. He has been interviewed by numerous print and television reporters as well as television news programs such as Dateline ABC and the Nancy Grace show. Furthermore he has served as a consultant for local television outlets providing insight into both the law and defenses related to criminal matters.

David adds his criminal defense experience to the firm and also involves himself with all other areas of legal practice. Being a seasoned trial attorney, he joined our other skilled litigators to make Lehman Pastino an even stronger legal presence in the area and will now allow the firm to expand the services we provide to all our clients.

Richard P. Toland, Esq.

Richard is licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Each client's case is treated with exceptional care and attention. Richard received his J.D. degree from Widener University School of Law. While in Law School Richard worked for the Chester County District Attorney's Office. Richard has handled both Criminal and Civil Cases over the past several years. He is also handling the majority of the expungement cases for the firm.
